Vacancy for Deputy Provincial Publicity Officer

As a result of impending retirement, a vacancy has arisen for Deputy Provincial Publicity Officer, to work with the Provincial Publicity Officer for one Masonic season and then to succeed to the role of Provincial Publicity Officer.

Reporting to the Provincial Publicity Officer, the successful candidate will need to:

• Have a general understanding of publicity and communications.
• Have a comprehensive understanding of computing and especially with the Microsoft Office suite of programmes.
• Ideally have an understanding of Web based programmes and social media.
• Be an effective communicator.
• Be self-motivated.

The role will involve working closely with, the PrGM and the senior officers in the Craft and Royal Arch and the communications department at UGLE.

You must be a strong team player, with the ability to work under your own initiative and have excellent oral and written communication skills at all levels.

You must be able to communicate regularly with the UGLE Communication Director and his team in order to keep up-to-date on areas of policy and information, and to seek its advice, help and assistance when necessary.

It is essential that you are able to maintain complete professionalism under pressure.
