This year was a very special year as John Scurr PPrJGW was celebrating his 50 years in Freemasonry. The lodge room was absolutely packed as Assistant Provincial Grand Master David Grainger, who had accepted the gavel of the lodge from the WM Andrew Wood, reviewed the life and times of John Scurr.

Following the interesting details about John’s private and Masonic life given by David, a very happy group of Masons retired to the festive board to reminisce, eat drink and be very merry. But as there were so many of John’s friends present, in order to cater for everyone, the festive board had to be moved to the Silverdale Golf Club.
