Preparing for Change

A major change is the implementation of a single form for all grant making charities which will cut down on administration. As usual all application forms are obtained from the local care officer, returned to him when completed for checking, then forwarded direct to the new central register team in WLFC offices in Huyton which comes into force at the same time.

During the next three months when the care team are delivering their presentation ‘How do I get help’ Paul will be supporting the local care officers where possible and will be able to answer any questions brethren might have concerning the second phase of the new system which comes into force on 5 October 2015.

Brethren do not always realise the amount of work a deputy does behind the scenes which goes towards a successful team. To develop the contact and finally get Esther Rantzen to attend our dinner, Paul spent a considerable time before that agreement was made. Now the challenge for Paul is to find someone of equal standing for our next annual dinner, so watch this space!
