At Scorton Chapter No 5791, Bill Williamson was declared as first principal of the chapter, the fifth time he has held this post. Chris Yates was installed as second principal and Bob Bradshaw will be installed as third principal at the next chapter convocation.
Provincial Grand Scribe Nehemiah Brian Griffiths was the representative of the Grand Superintendent Mark Matthews. Brian was accompanied by Past Grand Standard Bearer Kirk Mulhern and Chairman of the Lancaster and District Group, Chris Larder.
The ceremony was conducted by director of ceremonies Frank Hogarth who presented the incoming principals. John Helme occupied the position of third principal.
The only robe address to be delivered was to the second principal Chris Yates, given by Ran Fisher. On completion of the installation ceremony first principal Bill Williamson appointed and invested his officers for the ensuing year.
Brian Griffiths brought greetings from Mark Matthews and congratulated the newly installed principals and all those who had taken part in the ceremony. Brian was presented with donations to the sum of £280 for Masonic and non-Masonic charities.
A total of 13 companions dined at the festive board. The toast to the three principals was given by immediate past first principal Steve Parker.
