Leyland St Andrews donate £600 to Northbrook

Northbrook Primary School on Bannister Drive, Leyland was the latest beneficiary of a Leyland St Andrews Lodge No 7391 donation. The lodge makes donations throughout the year, as does the Leyland Group as a whole, and as part of its annual outgoings to worthy causes the school was chosen as the next recipient.

A cheque was presented for the substantial sum of £600 to David Johnson, Head Teacher, who was supported by the school council. The council is made up of two children from each of the school years. It was Jeff Lucas WM of the lodge who made the presentation and he was supported by Chris Blackwell, Leyland Group Chairman, and Stewart Seddon, Assistant Provincial Grand Master of the Province of West Lancashire.

David thanked Leyland St Andrews Lodge in particular for their generous donation to the school and of course the Leyland Group of Freemasons for supporting the local community. He said that the money would be put to good use in the classroom by going towards the provision of two iPads. These would be used to enhance learning for the children of the school whilst studying the curriculum.
