Lever Park Ladies Old England Night

The brethren, ladies and friends of Lever Park Lodge No 8144 held a Ladies Old England Night in the comfortable surroundings of Ridgmont House. The evening had a pirate theme with Peter Hannis in the role of fines master as his alter ego Pirate Pete!!

In keeping with the pirate theme the lodge had managed to dig up some buried treasure in the form of Derek English who, along with his wife Alison, acted as master of the lodge and Lady for the evening, and Mike Greenhalgh as acting director of ceremonies.

Peter was in fine form and although the numbers present weren’t huge he managed to extract all the pieces of eight and gold doubloons from those in attendance and raised in excess of £200 for a variety of causes – and without anyone walking the plank or being punished by the cat o’nine tails.

The food, as always, was excellent and all present enjoyed the occasion immensely.

At the end of the evening the Jolly Roger was lowered and those remaining sailed off to home!
