Colin Fisher, immediate past master of Rockhaven and Horwich Lodge No 2324, missed sitting in the master’s chair so much he jumped at the opportunity to be master of his lodge again for the third time.
Installing master Ian Hunter returned the favour given to him last year by Colin Fisher as the installing master, with assistance from Colin Preston who led the proclamations.
Other members of Rockhaven and Horwich Lodge delivered the working tools, with Derek Mason presenting the installed masters tools, Mike Heather the third degree tools, Ralph Vincent the second degree tools and Colin Preston the first degree tools.
Steven Gregory was the representative to the Provincial Grand Master Mark Matthews and he was pleased to bring greetings and congratulations from Mark. Steven praised the brethren for all the hard work that had been put into making Colin’s third installation just as memorable as his first.
Steven was joined by Past Assistant Provincial Grand Master Frank Wilkinson who is an honorary member of the lodge, also present was grand officer Chris Eyres.
As the installation ended, the lodge was pleased to present Stephen with cheques for a total of £1,700 to multiple charities and organisations. Included in the list were West Lancashire Freemasons’ Charity, Kidney Research UK, Haemochromatosis UK and Horwich Masonic Hall and a £500 donation to the Salvation Army from the raffle held at their Ladies Evening was also presented. Stephen thanked the lodge on behalf of all those recipients.
The festive board was enjoyed by all who attended, with the senior warden Stephen Greenhalgh singing the masters song for Colin Fisher to remember another lovely installation, worked by a small group with sincerity.
