The Forget Me Not Trust, a locally-based registered charitable organisation in Urmston, which is supported and run by Freemasons and dedicated to supporting the homeless and vulnerable members of the community, has launched the ‘Never Forgotten’ Campaign@, a critical initiative aimed at addressing food insecurity and providing sustenance to those in need.
Through this campaign, the Trust is appealing to the generosity of the local community, seeking donations of non-perishable food items such as tinned meat, soups, beans, packets of pasta and rice. Additionally, monetary contributions are welcomed, enabling the Trust to bolster its efforts in feeding the homeless through its volunteer run café and distributing food parcels to vulnerable families and individuals.
“The Never Forgotten campaign is a testament to our commitment to ensuring that no one in our community is forgotten or left behind,” said Ezra McGowan Founder of the Forget Me Not Trust. “By rallying together and donating what we can, we can make a tangible difference in the lives of those struggling with hunger and food insecurity.”
The Trust has partnered with Home Estate Agents in Urmston, which has graciously agreed to serve as a collection point for donations during office hours. Residents and businesses are encouraged to drop off their contributions at Home Estate Agents, where they will be securely stored and distributed to those in need through the Trust’s initiatives.
“We are proud to support the Forget Me Not Trust and their Never Forgotten campaign,” said Stephen Groves owner of Home Estate Agents. “As a local business, we believe in giving back to our community and helping those who are facing challenges. By partnering with the Trust, we hope to inspire others to join this worthy cause and make a positive impact.”
In addition to Home Estate Agents, the Never Forgotten Campaign has garnered support from Mulino restaurant, further amplifying its reach and resonance within the local community.
The Forget Me Not Trust’s volunteer run café, serves as a hub for providing hot meals, companionship, and support services to the homeless and those in need. The food parcels distributed through this campaign will ensure that vulnerable families and individuals have access to essential nourishment, alleviating the burden of food insecurity.
By joining forces and supporting this initiative, the local community can make a meaningful impact and ensure that no one is forgotten or left behind in their time of need. For more information email Ezra McGowan on emcgowan@sky.com
