Companions of Saint John’s of Jerusalem Chapter No 203 were pleased to exalt into their chapter Derek Connor, Derek was proposed by Jorge Perez and seconded by Steve Crane.

The ceremony took place at the colourful Egyptian Rooms at Hope Street Masonic Hall in Liverpool. After the minutes of the previous convocation were read and approved, the next item on the agenda was to officially install Oliver Winder as the first principal. Steve Dovaston had the honour of performing the installation.
After Oliver had been installed as the first principal, the next duty was to ballot and approve Derek Connor for exaltation. Derek is a member of Wavertree Gateacre and Queensway Lodge No 2294. The ballot having been approved, Derek was admitted and presented for exaltation.
A friendly and sincere ceremony, took place, presided over by the Oliver, second principal Ray Parr and third principal Steve Carroll. Dave Ullathorne, the principal sojourner was able assisted by Mogan Athmanthan.
The chapter then elected Ray Parr as the first principal for the ensuing year and elected its treasurer. At the festive board all the companions and guests made Derek very welcome, and after the toast to the newly installed companion, Derek replied with an equally welcoming response, saying how he was looking forward to taking part in future ceremonies in the chapter, much to the delight of the companions.
