The WM of Victoria Lodge No 4629, David Jameson, visited a women’s rescue centre in Widnes, along with two members of the local branch of Soroptimist International to deliver a donation of items of bedding.

Representatives of the rescue centre, a housing complex in Widnes that has 12 self-contained units and provides accommodation for families and victims of domestic abuse, were most appreciative of this donation delivered by David Jameson and Yvonne Gibbon and Jackie Brookes from the Widnes Soroptimist International, that is going to be of great benefit for those who are in need at this worrying time for them.
This donation of bedding with a value of £250 included; pillows, pillow cases, duvets, duvet covers, bed sheets and towels, is part of the centenary celebration of the lodge, which has seen many groups and organisations being helped to provide services both locally and nationally.
Other donations made by Victoria Lodge include; West Lancashire Freemasons’ Charity £1,000, Kidney Research NW £2,000, Widnes Food Bank £1,000, Kandersteg 2025 Scouts £1,000, H E A R T S Youth Theatre and Dance School £1,000, Zoe’s Place £1,000 and Widnes Masonic Hall £1,000.
