St Peter’s Lodge No 4324 has held its installation ceremony for 2023 using traditional Bottomley ritual at Liverpool Masonic Hall, and was, as to be expected, a warm and heartfelt meeting and thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended.

The principal guest, the Deputy Provincial Grand Master Phil Gunning was accompanied by Robbie Fitzsimmons as Provincial Deputy Grand Director of Ceremonies and Greg Pinnington. Also in attendance was Dave Johnson, Chairman of Liverpool Group.
For the ceremony of installation Ian McParlin installed his successor Adrian Williams into the chair of King Solomon. Ian also presented the working tools of each degree during the perambulations. The address to the master was by Peter Fay, the address to the wardens by Mal Myers with Phil Gunning giving the address to the brethren of the lodge.
Phil Gunning congratulated Adrian Williams on his installation and extended that to Ian McParlin and John Lambert on the able way they had conducted the evening. He added how very impressed he was, not only by the ceremony but upon the spirit within the meeting.
Adrian Williams then informed Phil that prior to the installation St Peter’s Lodge had already disbursed several charitable donations which included £250 each to Zoё’s Place, Cancer Research, Liverpool Masonic Hall Building Fund and the Food Bank Appeal.
Following the installation, the festive board reflected the lodge, consisting of traditional good honest wholesome fayre, starting with spring rolls, braised beef with seasonal vegetables followed by apple pie, a cheese board and coffee.
At the festive board Phil was presented with a bouquet of flowers for his wife alongside a refreshing bottle for himself. Sadly, the evening drew to a close and the tyler gave the final toast of the evening.
