This year’s group gala dinner had it all and more, with the ladies bringing extra style and glamour to the event that was set in the beautiful location and surroundings of Ridgmont House.
Ridgmont House is the home of Horwich’s Masonic Hall, and a special thank you goes to Susanna and Gary Matthews who organised the event with support from other members and partners.
The gala started off with group chairman Peter Allen and his wife Lesley greeting guests as they arrived and wishing them an enjoyable evening ahead. Ridgmont House looked stunning with lit candelabras on each table, white table covers with pink lace decorating each chair back and our opening entertainment looking very elegant on the dance floor.
Harpist, Maxine Isabella Molin, with her angelic harp created the perfect first impression as guests got into friendly conversations over drinks before being asked to sit down as dinner would soon be served. The food served was delicious and enjoyed by everyone and as the meal came to an end it was time for the thank you gifts and the gala raffle to be drawn.
The prizes were donated by: Peter and Lesley Allen – luxury hamper, Colin Preston – drinks hamper, Gary Fischer – TV, Hydra Clinic – Geneo facial worth £85, Chorley Gold Club – four-ball round of gold, and last but not least, Retreat Bolton and Adlington – £50 meal voucher.
After the raffle ended it was time for the party to start with our next entertainer for the night, Tristan, who quickly lit up the dance floor, singing a range of popular tracks that had guests up on the dance floor all night
With such a great atmosphere the evening flew by, and it was soon time for last orders and making plans for the journey home. A big thank you again to everyone involved, including the entertainers and Ridgmont House staff who did a great job making the night go so smoothly.
