Stephen congratulated Richard for becoming the newest ruler in the Craft and brought good wishes and hopes for good health and strength to enjoy the year as master from the Provincial Grand Master.

Stephen thanked the members of the lodge for their generous donations of £1,750 to the West Lancashire Freemasons’ Charity, £250 to Firwood School and £250 to the Friends of Ecclesholme; an impressive total of £2,250.

Following the installation 42 brethren sat down to a very enjoyable festive banquet at which the master’s song was sung by Andy Wiltshire who was in fine voice.
