The annual Warrington Masonic Golf Day took place once again at Haydock Park Golf Club, the date was one week later than usual due to the Queens Platinum Jubilee bank holiday.
Lunch was taken by the contestants and the atmosphere was jovial and full of expectation and wild predictions as to the potential prize winners. The weather on the morning was bright and sunny, but unfortunately, the weather deteriorated as the day progressed and by the time the intrepid golfers set out it was a little overcast with some occasional light drizzle, none of which deterred the players.

Warrington golfers were again privileged to welcome the ladies from Antrobus Golf Club who would be playing for the Phil Gartside Trophy, which had been donated by Phil’s wife Carol, who was also playing on the day. Many thanks to Mrs Jean Starkey for organising the ladies
The Warrington golf representative, Dave Goddard hit the opening drive accompanied by Ian White and Barry Corcoran. After all the golfers had completed their round they were joined for the meal by the Warrington Group Chairman Andy Barton and the group vice chairman, John Tyrer, thanks go to them for their support.
