Sir David, who is also the President of the Universities’ Scheme, was accompanied by Assistant Provincial Grand Master Kevin Poynton, Mo Afsa PrJGW East Lancashire (Universities’ Scheme Regional Representative) and Andy Green (Vice Chairman Universities’ Scheme).

It was a very successful meeting conducted by the WM Paul Williams, at which Sir David witness one of the members, Wayne Warnick, gain his degree of master Mason. The meeting was followed by a delightful meal which served to reinforce the reputation for good fellowship and was also the opportunity for a charity collection, the proceeds of which will be faithfully applied to a good cause in due course.

The lodge will celebrate its final meeting on 9 April at 17:00–21:00 before the student members start their exam revision in earnest and then enjoy a well-deserved summer break. The break does not get in the way of the opportunity for student members to then take vacation jobs and the lodge will meet again in October once everyone has had the chance to return to Liverpool, move into new accommodation and dust off the dark suit.
