Lodge of Tranquillity No 3877 held its December meeting at Woolton Golf Club and the occasion saw brethren, their families and friends come together for the lodge’s annual Christmas Social ‘Ladies to dine’.
While the members of the lodge held a quick meeting, their guests enjoyed a drink and a chat in the lounge bar with friends old and new. After the meeting the brethren joined their family’s and guests for a pre-dinner drink.
Once all the guests were seated in the Centenary Room for dinner, WM Alan Routledge was introduced by director of ceremonies David Boyes. Alan welcomed everyone and he hoped they would enjoy the evening.
Dinner commenced with the lodge’s chaplain Bill Carter offering grace and everyone sitting down to eat a fine Christmas dinner cooked by the in-house caterers Rendi Atkin and his team.
Following the delicious three course meal, Bill returned thanks and a raffle was held, raising £169 for Masonic charities. Entertainment for the evening was provided by Gabriel Stockley.
The evening ended with Alan Routledge proposing the toast to the ladies – and, of course, the traditional singing of carols.
