In the second of a series of three ‘Talking Heads’ presentations planned for this Masonic year, Rivington Lodge No 8013 acted as hosts.
Three master Masons from Lancashire came along to sojourn amongst the brethren at a meeting held at Brookfield Masonic Hall, Westhoughton. Assistant to the Provincial Grand Principals Paul Renton introduced two of his fellow companions, David Harrison the first principal of the Provincial Stewards’ of West Lancashire Chapter No 8516, along with Ian Smith a new member of the steward’s chapter, who entertained the audience with a conversation about the Royal Arch and the regalia and jewel worn by its members.
A well presented demonstration was enjoyed by over 40 Masons, 12 of which were not members of the Royal Arch and were given snippets of information to ‘wet their appetites’.
The whole proceedings were well received, with questions asked of the team; so much so that two members present asked that their names be put forward for exaltation into a chapter in the Chorley Group, mainly because of the information they had received on the night.
The last presentation in this series of ‘Talking Heads’ will take place at Prospect Lodge No 7880 on 24 March 2016.
