The children of the Garston group welcome Santa

One of the most anticipated events in the Garston group calendar, is the annual children’s Christmas party and once again the event was enjoyed by all, be they young or not so young.

In no short measure, the hard work and generosity of the hall directors and catering team ensured the children had a day to remember and an opportunity to tell Santa just what is on their list for the big day. An invitation to the children of families neighbouring the hall was extended to join in the celebrations.

After ensuring the children were well fed, local entertainer ‘Dozy Dave’, treated us to an hour of games and magic, with the noise and excitement levels increasing in equal measure before Santa’s arrival.

To the ringing of bells, Santa arrived in the room and the noise levels grew yet again. Santa, with the assistance of ‘Snow White’, then presented each child with an early Christmas present, before returning home to the North Pole to conclude his preparations.

Whilst the day is first and foremost for the children of the group, it was pleasing to see so many group members joining in the fun. The thanks of everyone, goes to those people who so generously gave up their time, so the children of the Garston group can enjoy such events, without forgetting of course, the most important person of all, Santa himself.
