Over the last two weekends the St Helens and Prescot Group has been supporting the St Helens Foodbank in St Helens and the Salvation Army Foodbank in Prescot.

Brethren have delivered food and many other essentials to the Masonic Hall, essentials they hope will help those facing difficult times this Christmas. All lodges and chapters have contributed, some have collected food and supplies from housebound or self-isolating brethren and others have contributed money.
The money has been miraculously converted into goods by a small team of brethren otherwise known as ‘The vice chairman’s little elves’.
During December the group will ‘bag’ the goods into Masonic carrier bags and will then hopefully begin delivering the bags to the two foodbanks before Christmas. Brethren of the group have been delighted that they have been able to help contribute to those local families of the communities of St Helens and Prescot that are in so much in need this Christmas time.
