Slick installation at Chorley Chapter

The companions of Chorley Chapter No 6287 were honoured by the presence of Assistant to the Provincial Grand Principals Paul Renton at the chapter’s installation convocation. Paul was accompanied by grand officers Ken Shaw and John Robson, Chorley Group Chairman Peter Lockett and acting Provincial Grand Stewards Eric Kos and Peter Lundy.

Frank Pearson installed his successor Dave Hatchard into the first principal’s chair, after which Dave installed Peter Horgan as second principal and in turn Peter installed Chris Peters as third principal; all under the watchful eyes of director of ceremonies John Bicknell and his assistant director of ceremonies Rey Morris.

At the conclusion of the installation ceremony Paul Renton brought greetings from the Grand Superintendent Tony Harrison and congratulated the three principals and all those who had taken part in a very slick installation. He said it was very nice to see ritual done so well by companions who were obviously happy and enjoying themselves.

Paul thanked the companions on behalf of the ultimate recipients for the donations of £100 to Derian House Children’s Hospice and £100 to the Friends of Ecclesholme.

The happy mood continued on at the festive board, with good food, good wine and good companions; it doesn’t get any better.
