Shared ceremony at North Meols Chapter

There can be nothing nicer for an IPZ than to be asked to fulfil the first principal’s chair once again when the current first principal is sunning himself in Australia. That’s exactly what Robert Thornton-Davidson did at the North Meols Chapter No 5828 meeting for the exhalation of new companion Martin Bos. Martin is the owner of ‘The Barrel House’ a new and thriving bar in Birkdale.

At this regular meeting 45 companions, that included Southport Group Chairman Colin Jenkins, witnessed a great ceremony which was shared equally amongst a number of companions.

The principal sojourner John Karen, Martin’s proposer into the chapter, shared his part with the first assistant sojourner Paul Hardman, both giving outstanding performances.  The principal’s work was shared between Robert Thornton-Davidson and Mark Matthews the current second principal. Standing in as ADC, Bryan Henshaw gave the mystical lecture, at very short notice, with Graham Wooldridge standing in as IPZ.

The exhalation ceremony ran very smoothly with eight visitors who thoroughly enjoyed the way North Meols Chapter had shared the work between its members.

After the chapter had been closed the celebrations continued at the festive board in the Hanney Suite with a delicious meal consisting of soup, a full mixed grill with chips, followed by lemon meringue pie, which was enjoyed by everyone in what was a very friendly and jovial setting.
