Every year Santa and his reindeer visit the Preston Group Christmas Party to give out presents to the good boys and girls who have attended with their family and friends.
This year the party was organised by the brethren of Ribble Lodge No 4558 and the WM Anthony Coviello-Blinn was pleased to greet over 100 guests who were treated to a fabulous three-course traditional Christmas dinner.
After everyone had eaten their dinner, it was followed by live entertainment from Allan Heyes. There were also raffles, a fun game of ‘antlers and tails’ and dancing until midnight. The climax of the night came with a big group dance filling the dance floor to Sinatra’s classic tune ‘New York, New York’.
The icing on the Christmas cake is that the event raised over £600 for the lodge to distribute amongst local charities during the coming year.
Asked whether the event would take place again in 2023, Santa said that it’s already in his diary as being on 16 December. He says that he is looking forward to seeing old friends and new ones once again.
