Peter takes the chair

Peter Burrows was installed as the master of Trafford Park Broad Oak Lodge No 4486 at their installation meeting held at Elm Bank Masonic Hall.

The principle guest and representative of the Provincial Grand Master was, Provincial Senior Grand Warden David Jonathan Edwards who was given a warm welcome by Eccles Group Vice Chairman Patrick Walsh who presented David with the traditional Eccles cakes.

The ceremony was performed with sincerity by the installing master David Pugh, accompanied by his installing officers.

The third, second and first degree working tools were presented by Patrick Wilkinson, Paul Heathcote and Chris Lewis respectively. The installed master’s working tools were presented by Paul Heathcote. The address to the newly installed master, Peter, was also presented by Paul Heathcote.

On completion of the installation ceremony, David conveyed the best wishes of the Provincial Grand Master Tony Harrison to Peter and the brethren of the lodge and congratulated Peter on becoming WM of the lodge and all the brethren who took part in the ceremony.

Peter responded by presenting David with a cheque in the sum of £1,250 to Children with Cancer and £400 to Elm Bank Lift Fund. David thanked Peter and the brethren of the lodge for their generosity.

The lodge being duly closed all the brethren retired to enjoy the festive board.
