Over hill and vale rapid response helicopters keep flying

A vast amount of money raised by lodges and chapters for Masonic and non-Masonic charities throughout the year are ceremonially presented in the form of cheques to the guest of honour at installations. It is usual for them to be handed back for posting to the relevant recipients.

However on a recent occasion when Glynn Wrennall Provincial Grand Charity Steward visited Vale of Skelmersdale Lodge No 8719 he offered to personally deliver one of the five donations.

Whilst visiting the West Lancashire Freemasons’ Charity headquarters in Huyton, Glynn had great pleasure in presenting Louise Lloyd, North West Air Ambulance Regional Fund Raising Manager, with a cheque for £100 on behalf of the members of the lodge.

This was part of a larger event when the West Lancashire Freemasons’ Charity handed back to North West Air Ambulance the newly renovated fund raising trailer which they had originally donated in 2004. This will ensure that the fund raising team can continue to raise awareness of their work around the North West.
