Prescot Masonic Hall was the venue for the initiation of Jordan Eveson into Old Priory Lodge No 6362. The lodge was opened in due form at 6:40pm by the WM Jeffrey Lamb.

Jeffrey then proceeded to invest his new directory of ceremonies Allan Spain who was unable to attend the lodge installation meeting. Allan looked like the cat that got the cream when David Hickman presented him with the DC’s wand of office.
The brethren were there to watch the initiation into Freemasonry of Jordan Eveson. Following the ballot that proved favourable, the ceremony could begin. On entering the lodge, Jordan was presented to the WM who conducted the ceremony in an exceptional manner.
An explanation of the working tools of an entered apprentice was present by Mark Thomas in a very precise and confident manner. In conclusion, up stepped Ken Acton to deliver the charge after initiation to the acclaim of the brethren.
At the festive board, Jorden was welcomed into Freemasonry by Paul Brunskill who presented Jordan with his welcome pack. All the brethren present agreed that Jordan, who conducted himself in a praiseworthy manner, is going to be a great asset to Old Priory Lodge.
In response to the toast to visiting brethren, Provincial Grand Membership Officer Neil Ward congratulated everyone who had taken part in the ceremony and pointed out that Jordan came to Freemasonry as a result of the United Grand Lodge of England’s Digital Marketing Campaign, and hopefully there would be many more to come.
Neil went on to thank the WM and brethren of Old Priory Lodge for their warm and friendly welcome to all their visitors, and said it was a great evening.
