The first Masonic event of the new season at Chorley Masonic Hall was the Chorley Lodge No 6287 meeting which was followed by a ladies and guests to dine at an Old English dinner.
Chris Peters, the lodge’s master, was dressed for the part as was the Beadle (Peter Horgan). Peter had invented new, novel and entertaining ways of extracting donations from all the diners, raising £270 for good causes.
This Old English dinner was also the first meal prepared by Chorley Masonic Hall’s new caterers – Camerons. Camerons have established an excellent reputation for good food at Birkacre Garden Centre and are now the resident caters at Chorley Masonic Hall.
From the superb meal they provided, their reputation for excellence is well deserved. Everyone is now looking forward to the next Masonic meeting
