Nigel Parrish was installed as WM of Duke of Lancaster Lodge No 1353 in the presence of Assistant Provincial Grand Master Peter Schofield. Peter was accompanied by grand officer Peter Mason; Provincial Senior Grand Deacon Andrew Keith, Provincial Grand Standard Bearer Jim Scott and Past Provincial Grand Standard Bearer Les Newlands, Past Provincial Assistant Grand Pursuivant Joe Crabtree and Lancaster and District Group Secretary Chris Larder.
This was the second time that Nigel had been WM of the lodge, the first occasion being in 2009. Nigel is the group mentor, a keen supporter of the light blue club and an active Blood Biker.
Nigel was presented as master elect by Graham Earl who also gave the address to the WM. The address to the wardens was given by Phil Irving and that to the brethren by Alan Physick. The working tools of the third degree were presented by Lee Procter, those of the second degree by Malcolm Morrison and those of the first degree by Phil Irving.
The festive board held at Rowley Court was attended by 37 brethren. The master’s song was sung by Graham Earl, accompanied by the WM playing his guitar. A total of £490 was raised by a Chorley and paper raffle, plus bonus ball.
