Brookfield Lodge No 5077 installed their new master in style in the presence of a galaxy of brethren. The Assistant Provincial Grand Master Stewart Seddon was in attendance accompanied by grand officers John Robson, John Dutchman-Smith and Andy Wiltshire. He was also attended by acting Provincial officers Bryn Hart, Gary Fisher and Peter Horgan, along with Chorley group vice chairman Peter Allen and group secretary Don Hesketh.
The lodge welcomed two joining members, Arthur Holden and Paul Spann who would soon be put to work.
Phillip Johnson installed his successor Lol Spivey in an excellent manner and then was invested as immediate past master and appointed secretary of the lodge! The working tools of the three degrees were presented faultlessly by Phillip Johnson, Arthur Holden and Paul Spann respectively.
Director of ceremonies Keith Fear worked tirelessly throughout the whole evening in what was a magnificent ceremony.
The festive board was an equally excellent affair with Gary Fisher singing the master’s song, accompanied by Ray Dainton on the piano, and the master being toasted with an excellent Irish malt whiskey.
