Lilford Scouts receive a defibrillator

Members of Tyldesley Lodge No 2572 recently attended at Lilford District Scout Headquarters in Tyldesley where their Worshipful Master Derek Robinson presented a defibrillator costing £780 to Steve Ralph, Leigh Group Charity Steward and District Commissioner of Lilford Scout District for use in the building.

The presentation took place in front of users of the building including Cub Scouts and Girl Guides,

Steve explained to those present the importance of having this vital piece of life saving equipment in the building and once again thanked the brethren of Tyldesley Lodge for their generosity.

Also present was Tyldesley Lodge member Derek Bond a former Scout in Tyldesley who regaled those present with tales of when he attended the World Scout Jamboree in the USA in 1967, once a scout always a scout !
