Lakeland becomes a vice patron

The awarding of certificates for their support of the Masonic Charitable Foundation 2021 Festival is not restricted to Craft lodges and Royal Arch chapters. Lakeland Chapter No 173 of the Ancient and Accepted Rite Rose Croix does manage its own charity account but the Order itself does not have a national charity. It is the practice for relief chest envelopes to be available at meetings to support what is now the Masonic Charitable Foundation.

At a recent meeting at Ulverston Masonic Hall, Phil Gardner who is the Inspector General for the district of North West Lancashire for this Masonic Order, was delighted to receive from Dave Sear, a cheque for the Masonic Charitable Foundation 2021 Festival which brought the total given by the chapter to sufficient a level for it to be recognised as a Vice Patron of the Festival. In return, Phil delivered to Dave a certificate to acknowledge the vice patron status of the Lakeland Chapter.

Phil later commented: “The Ancient and Accepted Rite is delighted to support the MCF 2021 Festival. The fact that the members of Lakeland Chapter also give to this worthy cause through their Craft lodges and Royal Arch chapters makes it especially noteworthy that they have qualified as vice patrons at such an early stage of the Festival.”
