Kingsway leads the way

At the last regular meeting of Kingsway Lodge No 7870 the brethren were pleased to receive Widnes Group Chairman Neil Pedder who had a very pleasant duty to perform. The lodge became the first in the group to become a ‘Vice Patron’ of the Masonic Charitable Foundation 2021 Festival.

Neil congratulated the lodge on attaining the status and invited master of the lodge Derek Jones to receive the commemorative certificate. The attainment of a patronage allows lodges and chapter to display their achievement on their precept and other communications.

Also at the meeting was the group charity steward Ian Lynch who gave his final group presentation for the MCF 2021 Festival. He gave a brief explanation of the aims of the festival along with ways in which the brethren can make donations.  The preferred method is by direct debit (all brethren should by now have received direct debit application forms and explanation leaflets). But donations by any means are welcome. He stressed that the white Gift Aid envelopes should now be used in place of the yellow envelopes for the duration of the Festival.
