Norman Chandler in his toast to Fe said that Fe originally came from the Philippines before studying nursing in Aberdeen and the Shetlands and on completing her nursing degree she now works as a ward sister at Royal Bolton Hospital. Norman said that Fe and Chris met in Sheffield and the rest is history.

Fe in responding thanked Norman for his kind words she also thanked Janet and Peter Horgan for all the work they had done in making the evening so special. Fe said that she and Chris had been looking forward to this evening and that it had proved to be very special.

The first part of the evening’s entertainment was provided by the golden voice of Haley West an 18 year old young lady currently with the North West Theatre Arts Company.

This was followed by two traditional dances provided by Priscilla Benham and the ladies of the Preston Philippine dance school. The first a candle dance the second a more frenetic dance to the theme tune of Hawaii five O.

The evening continued with a disco. Chris said that he and Fe had really enjoyed the evening and wished everyone a safe journey home.
