Following a request for specific items from Margaret Huyton at Digmoor Foodbank, Ormskirk and Bootle Group Charity Steward Mike Dutton contacted the manager of the Aldi store in Burscough and informed him of the items that were required.
As there were restrictions on the number of some items for customers, the store manager advised Mike that such a large order needed to be placed with the main depot. This was done and the wheels were set in motion for the much-needed items to be delivered.
The goods amounting to £1,500 were delivered to the store and with the assistance of the staff, the van was loaded and the goods were transported to the Digmoor Foodbank.
Many thanks go to Louis Spencer, a member of Aughton Lodge No 7996. for providing the transport and upon arrival, Margaret and her staff were amazed by the sheer volume of goods presented and thanked the Ormskirk and Bootle Group for their continuing support.
