It looks like the officers in Chorley Chapter No 6287 are having a great time as companions, with all but one remaining in their office for the coming year; the exception being Tom Richardson who steps into the important role as the chapter’s principal sojourner.

With younger companions ready to step onto the ladder, Chorley is keeping its structure the same and it’s great to witness the dedication and loyalty being shown and on display by the more experienced companions looking to the future.
The evening was relaxed, with great ritual and strong friendship. Derek Whittle remained as first principal for the third time; Andrew Cogle stayed as second principal for the second time and Don Hesketh as third principal for the coming year.
With the progression to principal sojourner for Tom Richardson, he is now supported by Peter Dawson as second principal sojourner and Dave Hatchard remaining as third.
Chorley Chapter, along with Westhoughton Chapter No 4215, will co-host a joint convocation and host the Chorley and Leyland Group ‘white table’ event later in the year (September 2023) which will be held at Chorley Masonic Hall. Details are to be shared closer to the date.
The installation was attended by 18 companions including principal guest Assistant to the Provincial Grand Principals Paul Hesketh, group chairman Peter Allen and group treasurer Colin Preston, along with acting Provincial Grand Steward and group Royal Arch lead Kevin Byrne, who all thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
