Declaration at Victoria Chapter

The members and visitors of Victoria Chapter No 1345 were gathered at Elm Bank Masonic Hall to witness the declaration of the three principals retaining their chairs for a successive year.

The principal guest representing the Grand Superintendent Tony Harrison was Frank Davies PGStdB accompanied by Eccles Group Chairman Dave Walmsley, Tony Edden and Bill Bagnall.

The first principal John Hindle, second principal George Greenwood and third principal Graham Halstead were declared that they remain in their respective offices for the ensuing year by re-affirming their obligation, followed by the appointment of all the other officers of the chapter.

Frank brought the greetings of the Grand Superintendent and congratulated all those who had taken part in the ceremony.

John had the pleasure of presenting Frank with a cheque for £100 made out to the West Lancashire Freemasons’ Charity. Frank thanked the members of the chapter on behalf of the ultimate recipients.

The chapter meeting was followed by an excellent festive board at which Frank, in response to the toast to his health, wished the chapter well for the forthcoming year and said that it is a happy chapter. He referred to importance of recruitment, retention and our charities. He congratulated Lionel Bailey on his forthcoming promotion to PPrGSwdB.

The meeting concluded with a presentation of a bouquet of flowers to Frank on behalf of the chapter.
