The Brookfield Ladies committee has organised another hugely successful event. This time it was a jazz lunch; an occasion that is back by popular demand and which went down as well on this occasion as it has in the past.
The dining room at Westhoughton Masonic Hall was set out like a first class restaurant with good food and good wine to match and with the Mark Lewis Trio providing excellent entertainment all afternoon; a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
Anne Wilson the chair of the committee said that the Brookfield Ladies organise events during the year to raise money to support the Westhoughton Masonic Hall. Earlier in the year the committee staged a Lancashire night which was a great success and the jazz lunch has maintained the same accolades.
Anne added that the raffle had raised £191 and it, together with the profits from the lunch, would go towards specific projects in the hall.
Brookfield Ladies are a group of wives of the Masons meeting at Westhoughton Masonic Hall who work very hard with fund raising events to improve the facilities at Westhoughton Masonic Hall, which is also known as Brookfield Hall. Under the name of Brookfield Hall it provides first class facilities for every type of catering event, including getting married at Brookfield Hall.
The next event in the ladies calendar will be a Macmillan’s coffee event followed by the children’s Christmas party on 6 December and the New Year’s Eve Masquerade Ball. A busy year ahead for the Brookfield Ladies!
