As our MCF 2021 Festival enters the final stretch, one member’s race is not yet run. Adam Eeles, a member of Old Masonians West Lancashire Lodge No 7702, is gearing up to run the London Marathon.
Initially, Adam had been selected from 1,000s who applied by ballot, to represent the MCF and West Lancashire Freemasons to compete in the event in October 2020. Circumstances as we know put paid to that event, but the organisers have kindly agreed to carry over his invitation to run in the 2021 race in October this year. Adam is raising funds for the MCF Festival.
The MCF is a cause very close to Adam’s heart. He openly reveals that, shortly after joining Masonry, fate dealt him some cruel blows, and Adam believes it was only with the help and support of his lodge and the MCF that he got through it.
His run around London is a big thank you from him, in appreciation for the support he received, and an attempt to raise some money that can help any brother finding himself in similar need.
In a frank and heartfelt interview with Provincial Grand Charity Steward Phil Preston, Adam reveals his story and tells why he is so keen to support the Festival. To watch a video of the interview, click here.
