Provincial
Care Structure
The New Care Structure was announced in September 2002 at DONA CONFERENTES
Lodge
by the Provincial Grand Master following the Care Committee Report into the way
Masonic Charity is administered in lodges.
The report suggested a change in the operation and it was recommended
that the structure should be set up as follows:-
The Provincial Grand Almoner,
8 Regional Care Officers,
24 Local Care Officers
The structure came into
operation on the 3rd March 2003 (03-03-03) and at the same time The Care
Office which is based in
Liverpool, was opened.
The Provincial Grand Almoner,
Regional Care Officers and Local Care Officers are all appointed by the
Provincial Grand Master.
On 1st April 2008 the Care Office will change its name to The Central Applications Office and become part of the West Lancashire Freemasons' Charity.
The Office will receive all applications for the West Lancashire Charities and become the focal point for general advice concerning charitable matters.
