Ecclesholme was built in 1977 and is a modern building situated in a quiet and pleasant residential area close to Eccles town centre. This spacious home is set in beautiful grounds next to Elm Bank Masonic Hall with a central courtyard where residents can sit and enjoy the gardens and the sunshine.

The home operates a traditional ‘hotel’ style of care, where residents share communal facilities. The categories of care offered are dependent upon people’s assessed individual needs.

The RMBI is committed to ensuring that you and your relative get the most out of life whilst living at any one of its homes. Its service is comprehensive and takes care of the everyday chores to give you and your relative time to enjoy life, and ensure your particular care need is taken care of.

The RMBI has been caring for older Freemasons and their dependants for more than 160 years. The RMBI operates 17 care homes throughout England and Wales. Some of its homes are country house style and listed, others are modern and more contemporary. Some homes are situated in, or close to, a large town, others are nestled in more rural locations. Either way, there will be a care home to suit your preferences.

At all homes the RMBI delivers care in a way that promotes independence and the dignity of the individual.

All homes can offer places to people with dementia, following an assessment of their needs.

The RMBI has a team of Care Advice Visitors, who know a great deal about health and welfare rights and benefits. They can also give advice on all aspects of the services offered by the RMBI and the other Masonic charities, and by statutory and voluntary agencies.

The RMBI can also offer short-stay breaks, including respite care. These are helpful for both those living alone, and for families that need a little respite from the demands of caring for an older relative.

The RMBI believes in treating everyone as an individual. Every potential resident is assessed to find out what type of care package would best meet their needs. A tailor-made care plan is put together, which is reviewed on a regular basis.
