Fraternal Greetings, I am a former Jnr Warden Hyde Park-Bankers Lodge # 193 Adelaide, South Australia. I joined as a Lewis as did my Father. My Grandfather, Fred Jones, Former Salford Councillor (St Pauls Ward 1925-30), Guardian of the Poor and Chairman Hope Hospital. The problem is I cannot find any information on his Public life. I was hoping that perhaps GL Records could assist if possible, in unravelling some of the mystery. My goal is to discover the identity of his Father (My Great Grandfather). Kind Regard Steven S Jones

Being an ex. Prescot lad (family still reside there) it was very interesting to read that Prescot has the oldest lodge, Lodge Loyalty, and still meeting to this day. It is my intention to pay a fraternal visit on behalf of the Lodge I am a member of and currently, the Installed Master, when next visiting family & friends in Prescot and the surrounding area's. Great site, will continually visit. Fraternal Greetings & Best Wishes.Wor Bro Alan BURTON

My late father Kenneth Bennett Wood could remember the opening of the Garston Lodge, so he should, the Wood family had for generations hosted the Lodge at The Wellington and then The Garston Hotel. It appears that every generation of the Wood's since 1778 up to my father had been Masons 1778 James Wood John Wood James Wood-Wellington Hotel Frederick Bennett Wood Gilbert Tewkesbury Wood Kenneth Bennett Wood All at some time lived in Garston

Quite a comhensive website! I was looking for more information on the Provincial Officers though. Only some officers seem to be listed. I have a friend who is a distinguished brother in your province.
