The members of the Lodge of Truth No 6235 were delighted to receive the Provincial Grand Master as their principal guest at their installation meeting.
Peter was accompanied by Tony Bent (Assistant Provincial Grand Master), Keith Kemp (PrGDC), Paul Renton (PrSGW), Ian Sanderson (PrJGW), Malcolm Parr (Leigh Group Chairman) along with other Grand and Provincial Grand officers.
Jonathan Heaton, the immediate past and installing master, installed his successor Jim Carey into the chair of King Solomon in an excellent ceremony ably assisted by the brethren and officers of the lodge.
At the conclusion of the ceremony Peter congratulated Jim on reaching the chair of King Solomon for the first time in West Lancashire and hoped he would enjoy the forthcoming year. He also congratulated Jonathan Heaton the installing master on an excellent ceremony of which he could be justly proud.
Peter was presented with cheque’s in the sum of £1,000 on behalf of the members of the lodge. Peter thanked the lodge members for their most generous donations.
In his response to the toast to his health at the festive board Peter again thanked the brethren for the donations to Masonic and Non Masonic charities, he particularly commented on the contribution for the West Lancashire Freemasons’ Charity.
