Longridge members ‘do their bit’ for heroes

Help for Heroes is a charity which raises money to support members of the Armed Forces who have been wounded in the service of their country.

They ask their supporters to ‘do their bit’ to show these extraordinary young service men and women that they are cared for.

Longridge Lodge No 8077 did its bit at an ‘open’ festive board at Wyrebank, Garstang, where members, wives and friends raised £440 for the charity.

Catherine O’Conner, representing Help for Heroes, said she was “delighted” to receive a cheque from WM Graham Timbrell and asked him to convey her thanks on behalf of the charity to the members of Longridge Lodge.
