Joint Blackpool project raises £400 for Trinity Hospice

After the fantastic success of last year’s joint venture, Ashlar Lodge No 5154 and Blackpool Temperance Lodge No 5303 decided to do it all again and hold a combined festive board as both lodges meet on the same evening.

It was decided that the recipient of this year’s fund raising efforts was to be a favourite good cause with Fylde Masons – Blackpool’s Trinity Hospice. With over 90 members, together with their wives and friends attending the evening’s festivities, the super sum of £400 was raised to help the hospice.

On the same date last year the Fylde coast experienced the worst snow storms for many years and this year again saw some appalling weather but thankfully it didn’t dampen spirits and the lodges and their guests turned out in such goodly numbers to enjoy what proved to be a memorable evening.
