Following an enthralling performance last year, they were invited for the second consecutive year. The Musical Theatre Class from the dance academy performed to a number of hits from well known ‘West End’ shows, as well as some Christmas favourites.  The hard work these young ladies had put into the show was evident from the start and ensured that the audience was enthralled by their skill and talent.

This year’s line up of dancers and singers were from the senior section of the Musical Theatre Class. They provided an excellent and enjoyable floor show, lasting approximately 30 minutes. It included a medley of songs from ‘Grease’, plus seasonal hits such as Mariah Carey’s ‘All I want for Christmas is you’, and Slade’s ‘Merry Christmas everybody’.

A thoroughly professional performance by all the cast was augmented with authentic costumes, and excellent dance choreography. The show was enjoyed by over 70 Brethren, wives, and guests.

A donation was presented to the dance academy’s vice principal, Clarissa Howarth by Jonathan Heaton, Worshipful Master of the Lodge of Truth, who said: “It is a delight to see young people putting so much effort and fun into such a healthy and entertaining activity.

Congratulations are also due to Kathleen and Clarissa who clearly put a lot of dedication into training and encouraging them.  We understand that our donation will go towards preparation for their 2012 show in April  ‘Dancing on the Keys’”.
